Hello, my name is Pat Tyner. My husband (Durwin) and I live in Bassinger, Florida, a small town located about halfway between Okeechobee and Sebring. We have lived here for 32 years and have always had horses. Our childern were involved in 4H, High School Rodeo's and Open Horse Shows.

They are like potato chips...you can't have just one! When the children left home it was our time to enjoy the horses. At first I rode for fun and Durwin was into cutting. I had always wanted a mini and so one year for my birthday, Durwin gave me my first mini! I was so excited but had him for only 9 days when he died. I was devastated but he was replaced, and you know minis are like potato chips, you can't have just one!

Home Sweet HomeWell over the next several years I just kept getting more and more minis! My herd has grown to two stallions, ten broodmares, and four show horses. Over the years we owned additional stallions with Barbara and Wayne McClellan of Sunset Farms.

We wanted to have stallions that were well known for their pedigree and show records. In the years to come, God blessed us with a son of "Egyptian King" and the dam was also a national champion. Our other stallion was a son of "Flying W Farms Little Blue", with his grandfather top and bottom being "Flying W Farms Little Blue boy". We have owned several top quality bred stallions and mares in recent years that have contributed to a well planned and productive breeding program and recently purchased our new stallion, "Sandhills Farm War Dance" that holds the title of "2 times National Top 10 Champion".

I met Barbara and Wayne McClellan through another friend of ours Pat Cavanaugh, who recently passed away and will be missed dearly. She had taken Wayne and Barbara to "Silver Meadows Training Center" where they purchased their stallion,Barbara and her baby! "Wynsome Farms Muffin", who just happens to be a son of our Blue Boy stud. They were hooked and Barbara, who had never been around horses in her life was like an old pro and soon showing! "Muffin" has won under her many Grand Champions and Reserves.

Barbara and her baby! You know that when you have a stud you just have to have mares, so, Barbara started looking for mares. Their herd grew to six mares and two stallions of their own. She had a new show yearling for that season that we are very excited about. You would never know that she was a green horn. After a year, Barbara was showing like an old pro! For several years I shared my love of miniature horses with my friend Barbara McClellan as we came together as Amazing Minis. My farm known as "12 Oaks Minis" and Barbara at "Sunset Farms" together we bred and loved our mini blessings and shared several great horses, great times and wonderful memories.

I wish the best to Wayne and Barbara in their retirement recently as Barbara and Sunset Farms will no longer be an active part in the Miniature horse business and will surely be missed although I know she is just a phone call away. Thank you and although they may not be tiny and four legged I wish you many more blessings in years to come.
